Meet Calvin

We have been wanting to get a pet for a while but decided we'd wait till we PCSed first, but Todd and I were talking today and wanted to get Allie something special and well ... We would like to introduce you to Calvin, our new kitty. Allie just adores him! And he is such a cute and cuddly kitty. We are super excited about him and for those who wonder if we will keep or give him away when we move - we plan to KEEP this cat when we move. It might be hard on him and us but we feel like he's suppose to be with us.

Capstone

Well today Todd left around a quarter to 1pm to head to Capstone - the field. He'll be gone from today till Friday afternoon/night. This reminds me of basic, except I won't have any contact with Todd and I don't have my family here with me :( But after Todd gets done with the field he graduates next week on Wednesday July 28th and then starts his 1Chuck class on August 9th. So sadly we wont be making a trip to Utah like we were hoping. But there is always exodus(Christmas) and with Todd starting 1Chuck soon that means we should get our orders within the next few months. Yahoo!!!
But stay tuned for the adventures Allie and I have this week :)

L&D visit/tour

So yesterday I woke up at my usual time 7:30am to get ready for my morning walk. Well we ended up not going on the walk because my neighbor had a doctor appointment later and didn't want to get all sweaty so we decided not to go. Well around 8:30am I started cramping for some reason. I figured it was because of the morning/evening walks from the other days and from my hips moving so I just didn't worry about it. Well a couple hours later the pain increased to the point were I was in tears. I ended up taking Allie to my neighbors so she could watch her so I could get some rest without Allie climbing all over me ;p I slept for a little while but I just couldn't get comfortable because the pain wouldn't go away. I was starting to get worried and scared. I thought about going to L&D but decided against it because I had plans earlier that afternoon. Anyways... long story short, my neighbor (Ashley) pretty much talked me into going into Labor and Delivery because by 5pm my pain still hadn't gone away. So Ashley drove me to the hospital. Well I was there for about 4 hours and the doctor concluded that I either have a UTI or kidney stone but is pretty sure I have a kidney stone. He's pretty sure I have a kidney stone because I have blood in my urine and the cramps are in the lower half of my belly and are around my back. I wont know about my urine culture until Saturday so I've got some waiting on that but if it is a stone all I can do is let it pass. I'm still in a lot of pain right now - I do have some drugs for the pain but I don't really want to take them because they are narcotics and I don't want them to affect the baby. I remember Todd and his kidney stone and I just pray that I don't have one! I will be following up with my OB next week so hopefully I'm in better shape by then.

But on a happier note: I took a tour of where I'm going to be delivering today. Its a small hospital but its nice and the tour made me want to have this baby so much more :)

23 1/2 Weeks

I had my doctor appointment today. I hadn't see my doctor since May so I was actually pretty eager for this appointment since I had quite a few questions for her. She didn't want to see me in June since I had that ultrasound (I thought it was weird but whatever right?). Well everything is going great!! Baby is growing well. Doctor said he's around 1lb 1oz and looks good. I am doing well. I am actually really sore in the pelvic/groin area. I'm not sure if its the baby causing the pain, my hips growing or from my walks, but I've been hurting for a while. I didn't hurt like this with Allie so hopefully the pain goes away soon! I also am being put on anti-depressants. I just haven't been feeling like myself lately and just down about a lot of things so my doctor wants me on them and I'm seeing a counselor so hopefully I'll cheer up soon. I have to do that glucose test next time. NOT looking forward to it ;p but guess I have no choice. I also have another level 2 ultrasound at the end of the month so they can do a follow up on the heart. I liked the office I went to, so I'm pretty excited for that appointment (they did 3D and 4D) ;p But that's it for now!

Allie's Car

We decided to buy Allie a little car. Our neighbor has a small car that Allie keeps hogging each time we go over there so I thought we should just buy her one of her own. And she LOVES it! Can't ya tell ;p

Walking with Mama and Friends

So my neighbors have started walking every morning and evening to help Ashley go into labor ;p And well I am out of shape and figured I should walk with them and get into better shape during this pregnancy. The first time I went I hurt so bad. But even though I hurt I was so proud of myself for going. I felt really good after the pain was gone. Allie enjoys going on the walks because she gets to see her friends. And she even gets up early for the 8am one ;p Its awesome!!! Hopefully Ashley will still go on daily walks with me when I'm at the end of my pregnancy ;p Sadly Britney will be in Germany by then :(

New "Free" Goodies

One good thing about living on an army post is with people coming and going theres always a good chance you could get some free stuff ;p Well my friends friend didn't want their daughters bike anymore and asked if we wanted it. I totally took it!! Its super cute. Yes it'll be a while till she can ride it herself but for now, we can push her on it.



My other friend was going through her little girls clothes and asked if Allie needed any? HECK yes she did ;p So we got a bunch load of clothes sizes 24 months and some 3T. I wont need to buy Allie any clothes for a while - so now I can just focus on building up baby boys wardrobe.

Her wardrobe now had doubled in size :)

She has quite a few coats and jackets for winter.

And got lots of new shoes.

4th Of July Celebration

Yesterday we celebrated the 4th by going to a little carnival here on post. The weather was perfect for the event! We went with our neighbors and Allie and Zoe rode on their first carnival ride. I was kinda nervous about Allie going on it but she seemed to like it and she loved going down the slide with daddy :) They even had snow cones there so I was super happy!! We were going to watch the fireworks from our front porch but the trees were blocking our view so we just went to our neighbors and had pizza and chilled for the rest of the evening. It was a really nice evening all in all!

Eclipse

I had the chance to see "Eclipse" last night with my neighbors. I've never been to a midnight showing so I was really excited to go. I just didn't think about the waiting in line would be a pain. Oh well ;p I'm still glad I went! Oh and what do you think of our shirts? Ashley made them and I loved how they turned out!!

Half Way!!!

I am 21 weeks baby! Half way there, Yahoo!!! I love it when I get to this point!! I had my level 2 ultrasound today. Everything looks good but I do have to go back in a month and get another ultrasound done because they couldn't get a good enough picture of his heart. I don't really want to go back because the hospital is off base but I'm fine with getting more pictures of my lil boy :) (sorry the pictures are bad, I'm not very good at taking them myself)

Fun In The HOT Sun

With how hot it has been lately I decided to buy Allie bean a lil kiddie pool. Well we've had it for over 2 weeks now and I just haven't set it up. So with Allie doing so well with the toddler bed I decided to blow it up and let her have her own "pool party". Now I was worried that she wouldn't even get in since she didn't get in the ones over at our neighbors but as soon as we walked out the door she rushed to the pool and hopped right in. She just loved it!
