Home at Last

And yesterday SUNDAY, DECEMBER 30, 2007 we had to wake up at around 7am since we were one of the first one off the boat. So we had breakfast around 7:30 and if I can remember we were off the boat around 8:30 and in the parking lot waiting for our shuttle to take us back to get our rental car about 9am. So the morning went by pretty fast.
Well our plane didn't leave until 3:45 that afternoon so we decided to head back into Orlando to do some more shopping, but on the way there we got stuck in some traffic. We thought it was construction at first but as we were moving along we saw an ambulance. It was a 3 car accident. It took us about 20-30 minutes to get past the accident. But once we passed it we went shopping and then headed to the airport and waited for the plane. We made a stop in St. Louis and then headed home. Once we were over Utah the ride got a little bumpy because of the snow so it make it a little scary. But the landing was fine since it wasn't snowing last night.
We had a great time in the Caribbean but are glad to be home!

Final day at sea

We were still at sea on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 29, 2007. And again not much happened today. Not much happens when your out at sea. They did put on a demonstration on how they carve ice sculptures. It was really interesting to watch. The same guy that does the ice sculptures he does the food carvings as well.

The ice carver is the one on the left(with the shorter hat). And if you cant tell what it is he made, it's a dolphin.

Here are Todd and I with our awesome waiters! I shall miss them. Carlos is by Todd and I'm by Suterman.

And again, our towel animal friend - i think it's a swan???

At Sea again

On FRIDAY, DECEMBER 27, 2007 we were again at sea with nothing to do except watch TV/movies, sleep the afternoon away, eat, swim or go walking around the boat. So yet again we were bored. We did have our "Farewell Dinner" that night though and we got to get all dressed up again. I just wore church clothes this time. But it was sad to think that we would only get one more dinner and then it was time to go. But here is the family that shared the table with us. So the people on the boat put on this display of food for us. Its where they made it all decorated like the watermelons the previous day. But this was with desserts, fruits, meats and anything you can think of:

The food was only on display for about 45 minutes. After the time was up they let us eat it :) But while Todd and I waited until we could eat it... We went to the casino. And yes we tried gambling. I just wanted to try it. we put in $2.00 and won I think $5.00 but then lost it ;p But we still had fun.

And then after gambling(for fun) we went and got some of the food. I loved the chocolate covered strawberries. They were the BEST.

And here is our animal towel friend the bat.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Well on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 27, 2007 we made our final stop in St. Maarten. In the morning dad, Matt and Breanna went snorkeling while Todd and I slept. Yes, we did a lot of sleeping this trip ;p But once the other 3 got back Matt and dad went to a beach while Breanna, Todd and I went into town to do the LAST of our shopping. To get into town we had to ride a water taxi or walk a long walk. This time we chose the taxi. It was only $5.00 to get to the other side and back. So it wasn't to bad. Here we are on the water taxi and there are the boats at the docks. There also were lots of stray dogs walking around. It was really sad to see that. It was pretty hot weather for them.

We also got to switch rooms that night. The first room we had it was an inside room with a view of the of the Promenade(which is the center of the boat where all the shops are). Matt and Breanna along with my dad had a room with a balcony. So Matt and Breanna swapped rooms with Todd and I so that we had a chance with the balcony. Todd loved it. And it was nice having it because it wasn't pitch black. And I liked sitting on the balcony just watching the waves go by.

And since we switched rooms, we got two towel animals that night. Well I took 2 pictures of them. One from the old room - which is the monkey and then one from the new room - which is the rabbit.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

On WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 26, 2007 we stopped in St. Thomas. And can I say *oh my gosh was it HOT!!! It was so hot that I really didnt want to get off the boat. But I did. All 5 of us went to the shopping center just by the dock and then again my dad went back onto the boat to do some work or to rest while Todd, Matt, Breanna and I walked the 30 or 45 minutes to get into town. We could have paid for a taxi but we didnt really want to spend the money on one when we could just walk. Besides it was good excerise. While walking it started to sprinkle. Which felt so nice. It really cooled us off a bit. After shopping we headed back to the boat...as usual ;p That night they held a midnight buffet party. Where there was lots of food to eat, music and dancing. I didnt eat any food or do any dancing but I sure did enjoy looking at the carved watermelons. And Julie look at this cute picture of the monkey made out fruits ;p I took that one for you.

Merry Christmas and at Sea

Well on TUESDAY, DECEMBER 25, 2007 - Christmas Day we were at sea. So it was a BORING day. It did not feel like Christmas at all. There was no snow, no friends and no family. Well except the ones that were there. It was didn't feel like Christmas. All we did was relax and watch movies. They did have a nice Christmas dinner for us though. And the only picture I have is of our cute towel animal ... the sting ray.

Coco Cay, Bahamas

On MONDAY, DECEMBER 24, 2007 Christmas Eve, we spent the day in the Bahamas. I've never been there before so it was a new experience for me as well as Todd. Well in Coco Cay they didn't have a dock for us to pull up to so what we had to do was be tendered in. Meaning - our boat stayed out in the ocean while a smaller boat from land came to our boat to pick us up and take us to the island. I'm not a fan of this way but oh well that's the way it has to be. But there really wasn't much to do here except to do a little shopping or go swimming. But the water was really cold for swimming. So we just walked around. Breanna and I looked around the little shops and then tried to find everyone for lunch. Lunch wasn't that great. Ribs, hot dogs, hamburgers, fruit, and watered down punch.

On our way back to the boat (just Todd and I) we saw some crabs in the water on the rocks by the tender boat. Can you see them? But that night it was the Welcome Formal Dinner. We had to get all dressed up. I just wore my prom dress from 2002. Its funny that it still fits me ;p
Todd was only at the dinner for maybe half of it. The boat was rocking really bad that night and he got a little sea sick so he went to bed early. But he we got some medication for him and then he felt better after that. :) We also shared the table with a family from Scotland. They were really nice. We ate with them every night so it felt like they were part of our family. I love hearing them talk with there Scottish accent.

Also every night when our room attendant gets our rooms ready for the night, they leave everyone a little present on the bed. Its a towel animal. Monday nights was I believe an elephant. I look forward to these every night.

The ship will set sail

On SUNDAY, DECEMBER 23, 2007 not much really happened today. We just got up and went to Ponderosa for breakfast. It was a breakfast buffet for $3.99 a person how cool is that? And then we did a little shopping and headed towards Cape Canaveral to get on the boat. The best part of the hour drive from Orlando to Cape Canaveral was when the boats came into view. It's an awesome view.

After boarding the boat we went to our rooms
and then went to take a tour of the boat.

These pictures our looking out our window into the middle of the boat
It was WAY different from the past boats I've been one. This on had a rock climbing wall, a mini golf course, a ice skating rink, a regular skating rink, and you were able to go to the very front of the boat. It was pretty cool!!!
