Warn Out!

What a weekend, so far! I am so tired, all I want to do is sleep. Yesterday we had a birthday party for Todd's niece, Abby. She turned 2 years old. She is such a cutie!!! The theme was Tinkerbell. I didn't get a picture of Abby and Caylie but they were dressed up in costumes as fairies and they looked ADORABLE!!! I plan to do something like that for Allie when she is that age or a bit older. Also you will have to look at the cake Carrie, Todd's sister in law, made for the party. It's huge and so beautiful! I was sad that it had to be cut into. Carrie is doing Allie's birthday cake and I'm super excited!!!

And then today my dad, Allie and I headed up to Logan, well actually it was in Wellsville for the Nowell family reunion. That's my grandma side of the family but the Olsens always attended. It's where they have the HUGE water slide. Its so fun going down it. I didn't go down it this year because I was taking care of baby but I'm sure if we come home next year I could take Allie down it. Poor little Allie got a small sunburn on her scalp and shoulders. Hope it doesn't bother her too bad. I think she's going to be like me and burn easy :(

Daddy's Party

On Saturday August 22nd I put together a little bday party/going away party for Todd. It turned out really well. I want to thank everyone who came and for supporting Todd!!!
Honey we are so proud of what you are doing. We love you and will miss you dearly!!!
***Oh on the side note, Saturday was the day Allie took her first step! I missed it but her daddy finally got to see a first :) Since then she's taking more steps here and there which means she'll be walking anytime now :)

11 Months!!!

Our baby is 11 months old today!!! Can you believe in ONE month we will have a one year old. I can't! Allie is doing so well day by day. It just amazes me. Here's what Allie's been up to the past month:

* Allie can now stand up on her own :)
* Allie has officially taken her first step, well first 3 steps.
* Not only can she climb up the stairs she now can climb down them. But not without Todd or I behind her
* Allie is finally onto the stage 3 nipples for her bottles
* Allie also can say "yeah" and "baba" and loves to mimic anyone when they say "mama" or "dada".
* We have moved her to the convertible car seat. That one was pretty hard for me.
* Allie has developed separation anxiety as well as stranger anxiety. When we are around people she doesn't remember or know she goes all shy or sometimes cries. And she still is a mama's girl - which I love!

*Allie can give a high 5 (thanks Matt ;p) next waving bye-bye
* She has developed an attitude now. It's like the terrible twos are already here ;p
*Allie still likes to bite. Now that she is getting more teeth she bites harder.
* She loves to climb on Todd or I when we lay/sit on the floor. Along with the climbing she tries to climb up onto things.
* Allie likes to dance when anyone makes it look like they are dancing. I will try to get it on video.
* Allie also now sleeps with a blanket or stuffed animal. It's more like she cuddles with it when she falls asleep.

Way To Go Girl!

Today Allie stood up all by herself for the first time! And she can stand for a couple of seconds. Todd missed her standing up but is able to see her standing. We are so proud of all that Allie is doing!!! In the video she stood for a couple of seconds and Todd tried to get her to do it again but she wouldn't have it.

Goodbye Pepper

So today we took Pepper to her new home. A good friend of mine, Alyse, who also use to take Allie's and our family pictures welcomed Pepper into her home. I didn't cry or anything when we dropped Pepper off but when I read Alyse's post about Pepper, I just broke down in tears. I will miss her and Daisy so much. But we are doing the right thing. I don't want to put the stress on them. I just want to thank Cheryl and Alyse for opening up their homes for our animals!

Needing a new home

So we had a new home for Pepper to go to but the family decided not to take her because they have two dogs already and they just don't want to deal with three dogs. Todd and I thought about flying Pepper to Virginia to live with his brother but it's going to cost around $300 to fly her there :( so we cant do that. So we need your help... If you or you know of anyone who would like a 3 year old Border Collie Mix who is up to date on shots, potty trained, well behaved, learned a couple of tricks (sit, stay, shake, roll over, up, treat on nose thing, etc) loves being around kids, loves going on walks, does great with cats, then she is the dog for you :) If you or anyone is interested please leave me a comment or email me at melindamackay@gmail.com. We don't want to have to put Pepper in a shelter.

Anniversary Fun

Yesterday was Todds and mine anniversary. We spent most of the day just resting and enjoying the day. Then we headed over to my moms to say goodbye to my Aunt Angie, Aunt Jocie and Nana since they were heading back to Australia :( We sure will miss them!!! Then after we said our goodbyes Todd, Allie and I head over to the Living Planet Aquarium. It was much smaller than I thought it would be. But it was still fun to see all the fish and ocean animals. I wasn't a fan of the spiders and snakes. I tried taking pictures of some of the creatures but they didn't turn out well because I couldn't use my flash so they are blurry but I'm still posting them. After the aquarium we went to Red Robin for dinner :) Yum!!! After dinner we went back home and put Allie down for bed and watched the movie "Push". We weren't too thrilled about it. But it was still okay. Happy 3 year anniversary honey. I love you!!!

Sunday we had a birthday dinner for my mom and a farewell dinner for the Auzzies. And then yesterday we stopped by my mom's to say goodbye to Jocie, Angie and Nana. It was so much fun having them here and we will miss them so much. Todd and I hope to go to Australia soon. I'd like him to see my other side of the family.
