Well I had my ultrasound and doctors appointment yesterday. With the ultrasound the doctor said the Allie's blood vessel that was laying over my cervix has moved (which is a BIG relief to me). So now when my water breaks we don't have to worry about Allie bleeding out or what not. And he also said that my cervix bigger than it did last month meaning it hasn't grown any smaller than it should. My doctor was really happy with that news and so was mom and I ;p I am needing to follow up with him again in 5 weeks so I'll be getting another ultrasound :) I've lost track of how many I've had but I love getting them since it lets me see my baby girl. My mom and I talked about getting a 2nd opinion on this whole "short cervix" ordeal so, I'm seeing a prenatal specialist at St Marks next week on Thursday to have them take a look at it to make sure that it is looking okay - not shrinking. My doctor was totally fine with this decision and is all for it. I was worried she'd be upset but she said that if you feel like you need a 2nd then you should get one. And according to my mom, the guy that I'm seeing is one of the best, so I know I'll be in good hands. And I'll get to see the baby again. As far as my doctors visit went I heard the heart beat still strong as it should be. I also found out that I gained 6 pounds since last month. So total for this pregnancy is 9 pounds. I've never weighed as much before as I do now and I love it!!! I hope I keep packing on those pounds ;p Allie is currently at 1 pound and 6 ounces so I'm happy to know she is helping me in the weight department. My due date stayed the same for 10/09/08 even though she is measuring 23 weeks and 1 day still a little bit smaller but that's okay. They said that just means I'll have a small baby. I also have to get that Glucose screening test for gestational diabetes. They gave me this drink to drink before my appointment. My mom said that it tasted pretty good when she drank it when she was pregnant with my sister but the way the nurse talked about it, it sounds pretty nasty to me. I'm also not looking forward to being poked. I'm so scared of needles and Todd wont be able to make it to my doctors visit so I guess I will have to be brave. But here is my belly at 24 weeks. I'm finally looking pregnant :o) She is still really low so that's why my bump is low. I want her to move up because I'm starting to get that funny looking bump where it just sticks out at the bottom of the tummy. So hopefully she'll start to venture up.
