Surprise

Usually Todd doesn't get off work until 9pm. So when I got home around 5:20-ish I was really surprised to see the truck home. I figured he just took a late lunch or something. Well when I walked through the door, Todd was waiting for me holding a vase full of a dozen red roses - my favorite kind ;p I was so happy to see him. He got off at 4pm to spend the evening with me. It was such a nice surprise. Especially after the day I had at work. Well he took me out to dinner (he let me choose). So we went to Leatherby's since I've been craving icecream lately I figured I'd have a good dinner followed by a yummy dessert. Well dinner wasn't that great, but my junior banana split was excellent :o) After dinner I figured we'd just go home and enjoy the rest of the evening together. Well I was wrong. Todd took me to see "Dark Knight" which I have been dying to see ever since I've seen the previews for it. I loved it!!! It was such an awesome movie and I want to see it again ;p I totally recommend this movie! I am so thankful for such a wonderful husband. He has been so great, especially throughout this whole pregnancy. He's been there through the hard times and the happy times. I love him so so much and I'm excited to be celebrating our 2 year anniversary with him in about a week and a half. I love you honey!!!

Pioneer Day

Well today Todd and I had to work so we really didn't get to do much until he got off work. Which was okay. At my work they provided us a BBQ lunch and around 3:30pm we receive an email letting us know that we could leave at 4pm :o) so that was really nice and I didn't have to deal with traffic getting home. Well when Todd go home we headed over to his grandma's house to watch fireworks and eat homemade icecream. Todd and Brian were the ones to light the fireworks and they sure did put on a show ;p My sister in law, Carrie and my cute nieces Caylie and Abby, were there. I haven't seen them since May-ish so it was nice to catch up with her and see the girls. It was also fun to watch Abby watch the fireworks. I'm excited for this time next year because Todd and I will have our little Allie to watch the fires works.

O baby O baby

I saw my doctor again today. But before we saw her we had the monthly ultrasound. Allie is looking good. She is still growing small but the doctor that gave me the scan said that she is in the low end but that's okay. He doesn't plan on inducing me anytime before the 5th of October and if she still hasn't come by the 15th then he'll induce me by then, but I'm hoping she comes right around her due date. She is currently weighing at 2lbs 6 oz :) and measuring at 27 weeks 3 days so about 2 weeks behind. So I have to go back in 5 weeks and get another ultrasound to see what she is measuring at. After the ultrasound I had my non-stress test. It was pretty boring, but things are looking good. She is never really active in the mornings so I had to drink some punch to get her moving. I was on the machine for about 20 minutes and then saw my doctor. I found out I gained another 3 pounds and that was in just 1 week!!! We think it's from all the steaks Todd's been having me eat for dinner ;p My doctor was really excited that I gain that in just a week. Last month that was all I gained. I see her in two weeks, right before we leave for California, so we are shooting for a weight target of 120 so 7 more to go (wish me luck!). Not sure if I can do that but I'll be trying my best. I also have another non-stress test at my next appointment. Not sure why but I think it just has to do with the Allie being as small as she is so they want to monitor her heart and activity or something??? Hopefully I'll be a little bit bigger by then so I can read a book. I had to hold the pad thing down since it wasn't tight enough to pick up her heart beat ;p But Allie is looking so big. when we had the ultrasound she was in the weirdest position (still breech so I'm hoping she moves head down by my next ultrasound). She was in a diagonal position so the tech couldn't really get a good profile shot but the ones she took are still cute ;p

29 Week Profile

This one you can see the outline of her cute face.

Happy Bday Blog

It's been one year since I've started blogging. Crazy!!! I know you must think I'm weird for getting excited over a "blogiversary", but to tell you the truth... when I first started blogging I didn't really like it and wasn't sure I wanted to continue doing it. But I'm so happy that I have. I hear from family and friends that they love hear about what's going on with Todd and I and now I don't think I can stop. It's like I'm addicted to it ;p I'm excited to start blogging about our up coming events and stuff. Hooray for blogging :o)

Consult Visit

I had another doctor visit today. Yes 2 in a row. But this one was with my new neurologist. I had to stop seeing my other one since she didn't take our insurance. I do miss going to her, she was nice. But this new doctor was nice as well - a little strange - but he did know what he was doing. He is making me have all these test done though which I'm NOT too happy about. Just means I have to take more time off work and I already feel bad enough taking the time off for the baby's visits and I have my vacation coming up next month. But I have to get 2 EEG, which means - electroencephalogram (elek-tro-in-SEF-all-oh-gram) The definition of an EEG is a neurological test that measures the electrical signals within your brain, and records them on a graph. An EEG is used to evaluate the cause of seizures, diagnose comas, and evaluate strokes and sleep disorders (there is your medical lesson for today ;p). My first one is next Wednesday after my other tests for my OB and then the following Monday (28th). I've had one done before, back when I first was diagnosed with epilepsy. I don't like getting them done because they put this glue stuff in your hair to hold the wires on your head but I guess they use a different gel stuff now plus a cap. I still have to stay awake half the night so I most likely will have to take the day off work so I'm not tired but oh well ;p And then he said something of my throat being smaller than normal and is worried I'm not getting enough oxygen so I have to have this oxygen machine thing record how much oxygen I breath in and out while I sleep. I'm not sure when that will happen? It depends on when the company will bring it to our place. And I also have to get more blood work done :o( I still hate needles. I really should be use to them by now but I'm not. But if the EEG's turn out normal (meaning no seizure activity) then after the baby is born we'll talk about taking me off my seizure medication. Which would be really nice. I cant wait till all this is over. I feel like a guinea pig or something getting all these tests and stuff done.

Baby Update 7/16

Well today was the day I had my Glucose test :( Yuk!!! Is all I have to say about that. I am so glad I got that over with. I had my appointment at 4:30pm this afternoon so I had to go all day with out eating anything. It was so hard. By the time we saw the doctor I was ready to eat a whole cow ;p Well as far as the visit with my doctor went - things went pretty good. The nurse had a hard time finding the baby's heart beat, she was moving so much - just wouldn't sit still for us to listen. We guessed it was the Glucose drink that I had earlier and it just made her really active. But we did find it eventually ;p I only gained 3 pounds this past month. I was kinda hoping I gained more but that puts me at a total of 14 pounds so far. My doctor isn't that worried about my weight but she said that I need to be eating around 2500 to 3000 calories a day now. So my husband told her that I'll be having steaks from now on ;p But I am measuring at 28 weeks so I am right on that. And we did change my due date again...10/05/08...which was my original due date. Allie still is measuring about a week behind which means I am going to have a small baby. I asked the doctor how much she thinks she'll be and my doctor thinks I'll be having a 5 pound baby. I'm a little worried about her not getting any bigger. I'm eating like I should so I don't understand??? So next Wednesday after my ultrasound, I am getting a stress test done so they can monitor the baby's heart beat and other stuff and then I start going by-weekly and then once I hit 34 weeks I will start going weekly to see the doctor. My doctor and the ultrasound doctor I see are going to be monitoring Allies growth more closely now. If she is not keeping up growth wise then I might be put on bed rest or something??? But she said for now it is okay with her being about a week behind but if there is any bigger gap then we'll talk about bed rest. Crazy huh??? But like I said last month from the 2nd opinion visit my cervix is going great :o) and Allie's blood vessel is out of the way so we have nothing to worry about now except her weight - so I'm doing my best to help her gain it.

But here is my belly at 28 weeks and 3 days. Still small but that's because our baby girl is small. And to be honest with you...I don't think I'll get much bigger than this :o(

Present for Allie

Today Todd and I had our date night since he got off work pretty early. We went to Olive Garden and then went to Fashion Place mall to have my ring checked and cleaned. Well when we walked into the mall Todd saw Build-a-Bear Workshop and asked if I wanted to build a bear. I thought he was joking, so I said, Yeah I do. And next thing I know we are in there choosing a cute little bear for our baby girl. It was so fun!!! I'm so excited to give it to Allie.

Baby's Room

Well my father in law wanted to see pictures of the baby's room. It's not complete so I'll post a couple pictures of what we have done right now. I don't have that much left to do. I just ordered the letters that go above the crib that will spell ALLIE and I should be getting those in about 2 weeks. I'm so excited to see them. They are going to look so cute. I still have to paint the shelf and we are also still waiting on Baby's R Us to get the rest of our border in to finish putting it around the room and then my dad is going to take me shopping to look at dressers and then the room will be complete.

Happy 4th of July!!!

Well I hope everyone had a wonder 4th!!! What a nice and hot day it was yesterday. Well we didn't really do much. Todd and I just enjoyed having the day off from work. We did finally register at Baby's R Us for my up coming baby showers. That was pretty fun. Todd enjoyed using the scanner while I pointed out what to scan ;p Then we decided to go see my nephew, Kyler and Lisa, and see how they were doing. Kyler is still such a cutie :o) While I was holding him, Allie started to kick and she continued to kick the whole time I was holding him. I think she was just letting him know that she's there and she can't wait to meet him. Well that's how I think of it. Then we headed over to Todd's grandma's place for dinner and fireworks.
