Trip to the Park

I took Allie to the park the other day. I also met up with another army wife, Ashley and her daughter Adri. It was Allie's first time at a park. She wasn't too excited about it at first but as time when on she got the idea of what you do at a park and she opened up.

18 Months!!!

Our little Allie is 18 Months Old today!!! I can't believe she's a year and a half already. We went to her appointment today. She did so well with the new nurse and doctor. The doctor said she's doing really well. The only thing we are going to watch is her talking. If she doesn't start talking soon we will start her in speech therapy in a month or two. I was sad when she said that so I'm praying Allie starts soon! I will just work harder with her. But as for her stats:

Weight: 20 lbs 12 oz 7th percentile
Height: 31 1/2 inches 7th percentile
Head: 45 cm

Here's what little Allie May's been up to:
* Allie will help mommy clean up her toys when play time is over.
* When Allie eats something warm/hot she will blow on it to try to cool it down
* Allie knows what I mean when I say "Bed Time", because I tend to have to go and look for her when I say it ;p
*Allie will help mommy dress and undress herself
* Allie loves climbing up on the chairs and onto the table. She's fallen of the chairs a couple of times but she still loves climbing up on them.
* Allie loves spending time with her daddy.
* When we skype with our families Allie loves hogging up the camera.
* When we say kisses or make the sound of kisses, Allie will either give us a kiss or put her cheek toward us for a kiss. It took her a while to get this down but now she loves getting kisses from us :)
* Allie can do the sign for "more"
* Allie still doesn't want to talk for us. She can say a few words:
mama, dada, baby, ow, Nana, and she's said no here and there. But that's all she says right now. I have been worried about her not talking. I know she understands Todd and I. If her sippy cup is empty she'll bring it to me and I say "do you want more milk" and she shakes her head. So I know she understands us. She just needs talk...

New Toys

Today we went to the PXExtra since they were having a toy sale. Well we ended up buying Allie some new toys: a baby doll, a couple My Little Ponys and a VTech bouncy turtle. Allie loves the baby doll and the ponys. She's not a big fan of the bouncy turtle - hopefully she'll grow to love it. I also included a cute video of her playing with her doll for family back home. :)

All her new toys (minus the tea set)

My Messy Baby Girl

Allie still doesn't like to eat with a spoon or fork. But part of that is my fault. I don't like it when she's covered in food or when she gets the table/high chair dirty. So I've still been feeding her. But I have been slacking off on the feeding her because I want her to learn to feed herself. When I watched her eat the spaghetti and meat balls the other day it was so hard for me not to feed her. She didn't really use the fork, she just used her hands. So I'm crossing my fingers that she starts to get use to the utensils down the road. But she still is a cute messy baby ;p

Pretty Girl

When we found out Allie was going to be a girl, I was so excited. I couldn't wait to put bows in her hair and play dress up when she got older. Well Allie has a bunch of beaded necklaces that she loves wearing and I just got a new watch in the mail today and she kept coming up to me to put it on her wrist. She looked so pretty in her necklaces and "bracelet". She also used a toy ring as a bracelet ;p It was so cute. So I think I'm going to find her some fake jewelery so she can play with them.

Playing with mommy's new watch/bracelet

Such a happy girl

What do you think of my new look? Too much?

Okay, I'm done playing!

Relaxing and watching some "Yo Gabba Gabba"

Back to Church :)

Today we finally went to our new ward. Yes it's taken a month to go, but hey at least we made it now than not went at all. Right? Well our ward its about 15 mins way (9 miles). So we have to leave at 8:30am to get there on time. Which is fine. Today we took one of Todds class mates with us. She's looking into the LDS church. And she enjoyed today's meeting - with it being Fast and Testimony. We only stayed for Sacrament due to the fact that Allie was a little monster but she's excited to go to all 3 meets. I'm excited to have someone I know to go to Relief Society ;p And soon Allie will be going to Nursery so Yahoo!!!!
On another side note... I've been pretty depressed lately. I've just been really home sick and with Todd gone all day and night and only getting to see him for a couple hours I've just been upset. There really isn't much to do on post and all the good stores are so far away, like a 15 minute drive. So I rarely don't leave the house. I have been making friends...SLOWLY but I still miss everyone back at home. And now I'm dealing with people not minding their own business. Its just a mess! Grr.. But other than that ;p I am still loving the weather and I do enjoy being an Army Wife!!!

Hello From GA

Not much is going on here in Georgia. Its been raining off and on so its been a bit chilly. So we've been inside most of the time. The day after I got Allie's potty I started training her. I sat her on the potty and she had a cow! She didn't like it one bit. So I think I think I'll hold off for a bit. I'm kinda sad. I really thought she was ready. Guess not. Oh well. Todd's still doing well in school. He took a test this past week and past it with a 97% :) He also changed shifts so he has school from 630 -1230 instead of all day. With the shift change he had to change barracks. To me it doesn't make sense but whatever I guess ;p He didn't mind it since he got the bunk buddy he wanted. We are STILL trying to unpack. I can't believe its taking us this long. I just don't have the motivation to unpack. Sad I know. We got the majority of the stuff unpacked. The livingroom is almost done as well Allie's room. I'll be putting pictures up soon. Just need to tidy it up a bit. I also finally took care of our insurance. And man what a pain that was!!! I called about 2 weeks ago to set up Allie's 18 month appointment and the lady on the other line said that I had to switch our insurance from Tricare West to Tricare South. I was like "are you serious?" No one told me about there being different regions. So I finally got that taken care of on Friday. I also set myself up an appointment to see a neurologist. Who knew seeing a doctor, a military doctor that is, would be such a pain the the neck!!!
