Family Fun

Todd's brother, Robby and his family came down for Thanksgiving and to see our little Zachary. It was fun having them down here for a couple days. Allie and Lexie had a blast playing together and Brayden just loved playing video games with uncle Todd. The kids also loved holding Zachary. Thank you for coming down guys. It was fun and we sure are going to miss moving away from you.

Happy Thanksgiving

I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving! We sure did. This was our first year away from home so we had Todd's brother and his family come down so we didn't have to spend it alone. Carrie my sister in law helped me cook our meal so I didn't have to cook it myself, plus getting a Honey Baked Ham helped cut on the cooking time. But our meal was so delicious and we had so much left over we've got lunch/dinner covered for the next couple days.

Is it time to eat??

Yummy Food!!

Zacharys First Thanksgiving

I'm Thankful For...

Over the past month I've been seeing many of my friends saying what they are thankful for on Facebook. So I thought since its Thanksgiving and since I'm up at 5 o'clock with my little boy, I could list a few things I'm thankful for. So here goes:

*My two beautiful children. They are my light and life.
*my husband and all that he does for us
*My husbands job.
*Tricare! I am so thankful for an insurance that covers 100% of everything (that's one thing I'm going to miss about getting out of the army).
*Georgia's beautiful weather at this time of year
*My family and friends whom I love and miss dearly!!!
*Sleep. Even though I don't get much of it, but when I do sleep becomes my best friend.
*Internet. With me moving away from home, Internet has become one way that I can interact more other than phone with my family and friends via- blog, skype, facebook or email.
*For my mom and the chance that she could come out for a month and a half to help out with the kids.
*My car that lets me get to point A to B
*My neighbors. They have been there for us whenever we needed them and I am so grateful for that. I will sure miss them when we move.
*The military. For keeping me and my family safe.
*Food
*The roof over our head
*Hugs and kisses from my Allie bear

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Swing Swing

My mom got us a new swing for Zachary since I got rid of the one we had when I had Allie. Well I guess Allie was a little jealous that Zachary was always in it because while I was doing the dishes I turned and found this:

She wanted to take a ride in the swing herself and swung herself to sleep ;p

Bye Bye Nana

Today my mom left after being here for a month and a half. It was so nice having her here and having her help. I am sure going to miss her. I don't know what I'm going to do. Guess we'll see how I do now with two kids on my own ;p wish me luck.
Thanks again mom for coming out. It was so fun having you here and we sure are going to miss you!

1 Month Old

Our little guy is one month old today! Time sure has flown by. I can't believe Zachary has been a part of our family for a month already. He has changed so much. He's definitely not my little 5 1/2 pound baby boy anymore. Well, here's what Zachary is up to at one month:

*Has graduated to newborn clothes. Zachary was only in preemies for about a week due to his length.
*Is wearing newborn diapers now
*Zachary is drinking formula and drinks between 3-4 oz every 3 to 4 hours. But night time is a different story.
*He now weighs 7 1/2 pounds ... our little chunky monkey ;p
*When he's awake he loves looking around and just stares at you if you are holding him.
*Zachary turned over at 2 weeks old but hasn't done it done it since. Yes it was kind of a fluke but I'm still counting it as his first time :)
*Has been smiling since a week old and has the cutest smile ever!
*Can hold his head up for 10 seconds or more. He loves looking around and is always picking his head up so he can do so.
*Loves tummy time and tends to fall asleep during tummy time (on tummy).
*Still has his nights and days switched so I tend to be a bit more cranky than normal
*Zachary does not like his binki
*And doesn't like bath time
*And like his sister, he absolutely hates having his diaper changed. But loves peeing on mommy. I still haven't found a trick to avoid being shot at ;p haha!

Sleep Over

Our little Allie had her second sleep over yesterday. With us leaving next month we wanted to get all the neighborhood girls together one last time. These 4 always have so much fun together its going to be sad when we all part ways. But I guess what comes with the army. I hope when we get to Colorado Allie makes great friends like she did here. I sure am going to miss everyone here.

Just look at that grin on her face. She loves being with her friends!

New Nightlight

A couple weeks ago I posted on face book that I was having a problem with Allie going to bed. She would cry the minute we walked into her bedroom, cry through the story I read, and as soon as I got up to leave and reached the door she'd get out of bed and run after me, and then once I closed the door she would pound on the door and screaming "mama" and when I didn't get her she'd hit her head on the floor/wall. I hated bed time because of what she did. But after my little post on face book I got many tips and thanks to those tips I am so happy to say she is doing so much better at bedtime. Allie climbs into bed herself and will let me read to her. And after we say our prayers we kiss goodnight and she says "night night" and then waves bye to me ;p She also loves the new night light (fish lava lamp) I got her. When I turn it on she climbs into bed and goes "ishies ishies". When we move and get settled into our new place I plan to buy her a little tank and some fish. She loves looking at fish tanks so why not get her one of her own. But anyway... I'm just happy to say bed time is going so much better now and this is one HAPPY mama! Now we just need Zachary to start sleeping through the night.

2 weeks

Zachary has hit the 2 week mark. He also had his two week appointment yesterday and he's doing GREAT!! I was a happy mom when I left the doctors office. The doctor was happy to see that Zachary had grown since she'd seen him. He's eating a bit more - between 1-2oz per feeding. His jaundice is all gone. I did find out that his tear ducts are clogged so I have to massage them 4-5 times a day to try and unclog them. If they don't end up unclogged by the time hes one the doctor said he'll have to have surgery :-{ so I'm hoping with me massaging them and keeping them clean the ducts will clear up. But other than the clogged tear ducts and spitting up he's doing awesome. Here are Zachary's stats for 2 weeks:

Weight: 5lbs 14oz
Height: 20 1/4in
Head: 34 cm

I looked back to see how Zachary and Allie compared at 2 weeks. They are the same in the weight and head area but Zachary is 1 1/4 inch longer than Allie was. Its pretty fun to see how close they are in areas.

Holding his bottle all by himself at 1 1/2 weeks old - yes I know its a fluke but its still cute that he's doing it ;p I can't wait till he actually starts holding

We Have Orders!!!

After months and months of waiting for orders, Todd finally got them last week. We are so excited for these orders and are praying they stick. Well Todd is to report to Schriever Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We don't have a report date yet but we are thinking sometime in January. The base is only 9 1/2 hours from home, has way nice housing, and is just in a great place in general. But again we are super excited about these orders.
