Another Dog ... Maybe???

So yesterday was date night for Todd and I. Meaning every Friday night Todd and I go out and do something. So we went out to dinner at IHOP. I let Todd choose this time. But I'm choosing next time for sure :o) Dinner was good but not great. You know how IHOP is??? But then we went out to West Jordan to play mini-golf. It was so fun. Todd likes to keep score every time we play and so I really was trying my best. And . . . I lost. But only by one point I think? But I did get 2 hole in ones. Which I was so excited about. On the one hole Todd was like "that's a bad hit" just as I hit the ball ... and guess what it turned out to be a HOLE IN ONE!!! But like I said we had a fun night.

But on our way home we took 90th south home and I noticed that on the side of the road that some people were selling puppies! So Todd and I decided to stop to see if they had any Beagles. Only reason is because we want a Beagle. But unfortunately they didn't have any. But they did have some Border Collie/Huskies for only $100. We were so tempted to get one. They were so cute. The only problem is, well there's a couple reasons why I didn't want to get one: 1) its going to grow big as our current dog Pepper and our place is only 1500 sq feet and I don't think its big enough for 2 dogs that big PLUS a cat. 2) It was way to hairy and would have shed to much (gross - Peppers bad enough same with Daisy) 3) If we got a puppy Todd and I wouldn't be home enough to play with it because we work M-F and at least till 5. So I'm really wanting another dog and same with Todd but we are just worried that Daisy our cat wont like it and that our place isn't big enough for it??? I'm mainly wanting a Beagle... They are small and cute ;p So what do you think??? Should we hold off on anther dog until we get a house with a yard or should we get Pepper a play mate????

Todds Birthday

On Monday Todd had his 21st birthday. I had planned a surprise birthday party for him on Saturday (8/18). He kept thinking that I had some party planned for him on his birthday and I knew if I did it then, it wouldn't be a surprise. Well I planned it on Saturday for all his brothers and sisters to come along with their spouses. And boy was Todd surprised. It was awesome. I really wish I got a picture of his face to show you. But we had a good time. We had pizza for dinner and then played on the Wii for a while - which is always fun. And then on Sunday my mom had planned a dinner for Todd. So we just had the step family there and us. It was a nice time for us to catch up and just for Todd to relax. So really if you look at it this way Todd's birthday really lasted all weekend when his birthday really wasn't until Monday. Lucky man. And then on Monday after Todd got home from work I gave him his presents and then I decided to let him do whatever he wanted ... have is own day to himself. And I know he likes those days :o)

Everyone having a good time

Blonde No More!

So all my life I have been a blonde but have always wanted to color my hair a darker color to match my dark eyebrows but have been to scared to. So the first time I ever really colored my hair was a month after my brother left for his mission back in 2004. I did it by myself but with my moms help of course. We just use the stuff in the box you buy from the store. and ever since then I've been coloring my hair by myself. Yes, by myself. There would be times it would be darker one month or lighter the next. And sometimes it would have a tint a purple because I did something weird to it? But it was fun. And I was a brunette for the past two years and I loved it!!! When I met Todd I had dark hair, so he's never seen me with blonde hair except pictures. When we were dating I told him I was blonde and he didn't believe me so I had to show him pictures way back from high school and have my family tell him. It took him a while until he believed me. So when I decided to go back to being a blonde a couple months ago he wasn't to excited about the idea. I still did it anyways. So I was a blonde for about 6 months I think??? I really don't remember when I got it done but Todd did start to like me being a blonde woman. But sometime this week I decided that I was tired of being a blonde, when he started liking it, and I was going back to the dark color. So I got it done. It is a little darker than I planned on going. I had to have two colors applied because of the blonde. So the first color was to make the second color stay if I didn't get the first brown applied then if I just applied the one color it would have just washed right out. But I think the hairstylist left the second color on a little to long and that's why its darker than planned. Oh well... it'll fade after a few washes. And as for the cut, I really don't like it but after I showered and dried it and styled it MY way, it doesn't look that bad. I just cant straighten it for a while. Todd does like it so that's a good thing. As I said before he's always liked my hair dark. So I mainly did this for him and just for a change. But I'm just glad he likes it!!!

1st Anniversary

HOORAY!!!!!!!!! Todd and I just celebrated our first year anniversary yesterday. We are no longer newlyweds. How sad :o( But I'm so excited that its been one year. I cant believe that year went by so fast. Todd and I didn't do much. We did exchange gifts and go out to dinner, at The Gate Way Mall. And we went to the restaurant Thaifoon - Taste of Asia. It was good food. Todd had some Sweet and Sour Chicken while I had Shrimp Fried Rice. Unfortunately I didn't eat all mine, well I barely touch mine because of the 4 Cokes I drank before I got my main course. So I did have lots of left overs. But like I said what I did eat it was good. Well we planned on going out to a movie by the time we finished with dinner it was pretty late. So we just decided to rent one and popped some popcorn and watch "Deja vu". It was a good movie if you haven't seen it before. I was a little confused for most of the movie but near the end i got it. But it was a great night and I cant wait for next years anniversary! And I just want Todd to know that I love him so so much and I am so happy that he is my husband. He means the world to me and I cant wait to spend the rest of my life with him. Todd I love you!!!

Barbecue

We had a barbecue for Angie yesterday evening. It was just the family this time, minus a few members but they are on vacation in Oregon, so we will forgive them. But we all had a good time. We ate hamburgers and hot dogs along with a salad and chips and dip. So the food was good. But we did have a lot of bees/wasps bugging us. But thanks to moms hair spray and Angie's swatting with the fly swatter, we did get rid of quite a few. And every time Angie got rid of one she would put it in the "bee's/wasp's" cemetery. Also known as the window well. It was so funny, every time Angie would get one she'd say "to the cemetery with ya." But after all the bee swatting and stuff, we had some dessert, just ice cream. But Angie brought out some chocolate from Australia and I am going to have to say that it was the most delicious chocolate that I had ever eaten. Oh my gosh it was so good. It was a dark chocolate with a creamy mint inside. And I'm not a fan of dark chocolate but this stuff just was so good!!! My mom and step dad are going to go to Australia this November and I asked them to bring me back as many bars as they could but Angie said that the company that makes the candy changed the way that it is made. Instead of creamy mint its a cream inside. So I'm just going to have to eat all of Angie's :o) But Angie's leaving on Saturday. And I wish she could stay longer but she's meeting her hubby in Hawaii and I guess we don't want to keep her away from him but we will miss her. Its always fun having her here!!!

Todds New Job

For the past 2 1/2 years Todd has been working at RC Willey's, well he finally has left there to go with a different company. He is work for a Bank that gives and approves home loans for people. He's been there for 2 days now and so far he is liking it. We are hoping that with this job it'll bring in more money, not to be greedy or anything but with a mortgage payment and car payments and etc.. a little extra money couldn't hurt. And the one thing about this job that Todd does like is (well that is after training is through) he'll get to work some overtime. Unlike at RC Willey where they didn't allow overtime. He will be working 4 10 hour shifts Monday - Saturday with 2 days off during the week and will have Sunday off. And NO hard labor at this place, which is better for him. I'm way excited for him about this new job but one thing with him leaving the Willey I will miss is his discount that he had. Now we will have to pay full price on the furniture there.

Happy Birthday Mom!!!

Well yesterday was my moms 50th birthday. She really didn't want to do anything but a small family dinner but my step dad had a different idea in mind. He planned a small little party for the family and also invited a few of her closest friends. And it turned out great and my mom had a lot of fun. She got some nice gifts and then she also got some over the hill gag gifts and personally those are the fun ones. But I think the gift she enjoyed getting the most was the surprise from her sister (my aunt) Angie from Australia. Now dont get me wrong... I know she liked all her gifts but come on this is her sister that's millions of miles away. I would love that gift if I were in my moms place. The last time Angie was here was about a year ago for mine and Todd's wedding. But I love having her here and I know my mom does too!!! She is so much fun. And I love hearing her accent. She is going to be her till 8/11/2007 so that way she and mom will have lots of time together. We also will be having a family barbecue this week in her honor. How exciting...

Maggies 10th Anniversary

So last night was my works 10th anniversary party. I was really looking forward to this night for about the past month. It was a "best dressed" event. So I was excited about getting all dressed up, going out and having fun with my husbandand friends from work. There was a dinner, a work presentation on our bridal gowns and just a speech from the owners of the company and then there was dancing and entertainment. Although the entertainment was interesting... a Neil Diamond impersonator - apparently the owner of the company really likes Neil Diamond. The party was held at the Wells Fargo Building on the 23rd Floor. I've never been there before and can I say that the view at night was just beautiful!!! I couldn't believe it! That was the perfect place to have the party. I had an awesome time. I guess I really haven't explained who I work for... I work for Maggie Sottero, its a bridal company and they make wedding gowns and prom gowns. The owner of the company is from Australia. Well Maggie Sottero started over in Australia and then they brought it over to the USA and its one of the best selling bridal companies in the country. Its a really fun company to work with. I've been there for a year now and its just a fun job and I love the people that I work with!!!
