Allie's Curls + Dr Visit

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE my baby girls curls?!?! Well if I haven't, I love them so much!!!

Allie also saw the doctor today. This was her 3 year check up. I totally forgot to set her one up and so once I remembered, this was the soonest they could get us in LOL. Well as for her stats she is:

Weight: 28lbs
Height: 36in

Doctor said she's doing great and that was happy news for me! I forgot to mention last week I took her in for a possible UTI and she ended up having one so now I have to take her in to an ultrasound to make sure the infection is gone. Now I'm just waiting for that appointment to come (we have a while). But other than that she's doing great!!!

Catching Up: Halloween

I'm doing a little catching up so please excuse all the posts I'm about to do ;p

We went to our good friends Amber and Chris Hogans place for Halloween. Allie and daddy went out around their neighborhood (soon to be ours) for some trick or treating while me and my mom stayed behind and passed out candy. It was a fun evening and made me more excited to move onto base!

Zachary's 1 Year Appt

Zachary had his one year appointment on Monday (2 weeks after he turned one). I was expecting to go in there and get his weight and stuff and then shots and be on our way. NOPE!!! I was at the doctors from 8:35am to 12:30pm. It was one long and emotional morning.
Zachary's stats are:

weight: 17lbs 7oz (0% - is off the charts still),
height: 28.2in (5%) and
head: 17.8in (48.2cm).

So he's still on the small side but that's okay, he's my lil baby boy ;p
As well as his weight being behind, he's behind developmental wise. He's acting more like a 6-8 month old than a one year old. So his pediatrician wants some behavior health people to come to our house and evaluate him and work with him. Ugh!!! They are coming on Monday so I'll have to update you on what they do and think.
Also the doctor thinks Zach might have a neurological problem because his right eye and right side of his mouth droops and he said that's not normal. So I have to take him to a Neurologist to see what they think. And now this is where I BLAME myself because I have seizures and have the neurological problems and I feel if he has them then I passed them on to him. I just feel horrible about this and don't know what to do?
Zach also had to get blood taken on Monday as well as his shots. I did okay with him getting his shots but I couldn't handle him getting his blood drawn - I totally broke down. And I have to take him to Fort Carson to get more blood taken and then next week more shots. I just hate seeing him in pain and there isn't anything I can do but comfort him after being poked.

Well as for some of his milestones Zachary can do/has done:
* Zachary loves to click his tongue especially if we do it then he will mimic us
* He'll bob his head like a bobble head. Its pretty cute
* He will clap but only when he feels like it
* Zach's taken 4 steps now but refuses to take more. He's close to walking but not any time soon
* He is very very vocal by squealing at the top of his lungs - annoys everyone that hears it and gives me headaches
* Loves playing with his big sister. Loves to play: chase, hide and seek, and just with toys
* Zach has been on whole milk since 10/3 and has been doing great with it. So glad we are done with formula!!!
* Says only 3 words: Mama, Dada, Nana. Says mama when he is upset and says dada most of the time
* He is DEATHLY afraid the the vacuum
* Zachary has 8 teeth. 4 on top and 4 on the bottom
* Only takes 1 nap a day
* Zachary still wears size 3 diapers, size 6 to 9 month clothes

WE LOVE YOU ZACHARY!!!

Dear Fallen Soldier,

Thank you for your service. You will NEVER be forgotten!!

I took Allie to the doctor today and when we came out we saw soldiers all lined up on the other side of the street. I saw my mom and Z on the sidewalk so I asked what was going on and she said they were bringing a fallen soldier from the airport (the airport was down the street from the clinic) and the soldiers were there to salute as the hearse passed them. It was one of the most MOVING and HUMBLING things to be a part of and made me proud to be an American. Thank you to all the servicemen and women who are working to keep us safe and a special thanks to husband, thank you for all that you do for our country and family!! I love you!!!

This picture is from my phone. All the others are from a lady taking pictures and she sent them to my mom.

A TRIBUTE TO A FALLEN SOLDIER:

A SOLDIER GAVE HIS LIFE TODAY,
AWAY FROM HOME, SO FAR AWAY.
HE HAD OFTEN WONDERED HOW IT WOULD END
AS HE, HIS ENERGY DID ALL EXPEND.

BACK AT HOME HIS FAMILY CANNOT BELIEVE
THOSE HORRID WORDS THEY HAD JUST RECEIVED.
SO YOUNG WAS HE, YET HOW HE HAD AGED
IN THOSE MANY MONTHS THE WAR HAD RAGED.

HE DIED KNOWING HE HAD DONE HIS BEST.
NOW HIS BODY WILL BE LAID TO REST.
WILL THE PRICE HE PAID BE REMEMBERED WELL?
WHAT WORDS WILL THEY HIS LOVED ONES TELL?

WILL A NATION’S GRATITUDE HIS FAMILY KNOW?
FOR THE DEVOTION TO DUTY HE DID SO BRAVELY SHOW.
HIS MEMORY WILL LIVE ON THOUGH HE BE GONE,
MAY HONOR AND RESPECT BE PROPERLY SHOWN.

Day at the Park

Today was such a beautiful day I decided to take the kids and Nana to the park. It was actually nice to just get out of the house. Mom and I have had headaches/migraines for the past week and they have been pretty hard on us and the kids (them being kept in the house and all), so it was nice to get out. Allie had so much fun running around, swinging and playing with other kids. Zachary on the other hand didn't have fun. My mom and I could tell he was super tired but he just kept on fighting it. Such a silly boy.

Allie just swinging away. She's big enough that she can hold on without falling off now.

Nana and Zachary sitting on the swing beside sister while she swings.

Going down the slide. She LOVES slides now.

Allie saw an older girl do a flip on this bar so she wanted to do it. I tried to help her but once I got her on the bar she just wanted to hang there like that.

Zachary just playing in the wood chips while sister is off playing.

Mom and I tried having Zach go down the slide by himself - bad idea. So I just have both kids go down with me. Allie and I had fun but Zachary didn't sadly

Zachary did not like the swing at all.

Allie went on this a couple times. Its a pretty big slide, especially to little kids its HUGE

1 Year Pictures

Zachary had his one year pictures taken on Monday. I loved how they turned out! I have been editing some with my special touch over the past couple days and I'm finally done and can post them. I hope the ones that I edited look good (if not I'm sorry).

Happy 1st Birthday Bud!!!

Our little Zachary is *ONE* today!!! I can't believe how fast this past year went by. Zach has his one year appointment on Halloween so I'll update you with his milestones and stats then. But we love Zachary so much and are so glad to have him as a part of our family!

Happy Birthday Baby Boy!!!

Z's Party!!!

We had Zachary's party this evening. It was a crazy and stressful day but the party still was fun. Zachary loved having the attention on him but when it came time for him to eat his cake he didn't like it. It was close to his bed time so he was pretty tired. He just ate most of the frosting. And I didn't bother wrapping his presents. I still need to get him a couple more but I gave him what we got him tonight.

Yeah, I made his cake. It turned out okay. The writing would have been better if I wasn't rushed but I still like it.

Is That A Rat???

So daddy decided Allie needed a new pet since her fishies died. Today daddy came home from running errands with a RAT!! I couldn't believe it. Allie loves him though and as long as Todd takes care of it I'm fine with it. And I have to admit its pretty cute. Allie's keeps calling him Noney and Swiper.

Hey Pumpkin!

So I don't really like carving pumpkins. I just don't like pulling out the middle and then having to do all the carving and yeah... So I was just going to draw faces on the kids pumpkins this year but then while I was at Walmart I happened to see a cute Potato Head kit for pumpkins so that's what we did instead. Allie just loved doing it and they turned out so cute! The witch is Allie's pumpkin and the pirate is Zach's.

Arr Ye Matey!!! Pirates Life For Me!!!

A week ago (Sept 26th) I took Zachary to the eye doctor because Todd and I have noticed that his right eye tends to wander off every now and then. I was a little concerned about it plus it creeped Todd and I out, so off to the doctor we went. The doctor said that he does have a lazy eye but in both eyes. At this point he doesn't need glasses so we are going to try the patch to "train" both eyes. What we do is put 1 patch on one eye for an hour a day and then do the same thing but on the other eye and so on and we do this for the next 3 months. Then when we see his doctor on Dec 29th we will see how his eyes are and he'll (the dr) determine if Zach will need glasses or surgery. And as for the patches go Zachary doesn't like them but he's starting to get use to the fact that its part of his daily routine now. He just hates it when we take it off because its like ripping a band aid off. Poor kid.

Waiting for the doctor to come see baby boy

Check out the cool glasses they gave Zach since they dilated his eyes

Allie's Party

Yesterday was Allie's birthday and we decided to have a little get together with a couple of friends. Before we all got together Todd and I took Allie to the movie plex to play in the arcade for a while. She loved the "racing" game because she could pretend drive. Allie was able to Skype with nana and papa and open the present from them - a fun, new camera (which btw mom she LOVES). Then our friends Elbee, Matt, Chris and Amber came over for dinner, cake and to celebrate Allie's birthday. She had a great day and was so happy that they came.
