Today Allie had her first "Fun Dip". It was from Easter and I hadn't planned on giving it to her since they are kinda messy but daddy had other plans ;p She did really well with it and really loved it! So maybe we can get her another one some other time and a different flavor ;p

Military Doctors

Sure are a pain!!! I had my appointment yesterday and she did another ultrasound and said everything looks fine. I also asked her to confirm that our baby is a "boy" - and he is :) After the ultrasound the appointment was over. She didn't let me hear the heartbeat or measure my belly. Back home when I was pregnant with Allie I got to hear the heartbeat every appointment and then she'd measure my belly to see how I was growing. So I don't get why my doctor here doesn't do that? I was talking to my mom and she said maybe it has to do with the fact that I get an ultrasound each visit and she doesn't need to? But I still don't know? Its a bit unsettling for me though. After the initial appointment she called me into her office and she "talked" to me for about 10-15 minutes about things. She is having me get a Level 2 ultrasound (not really sure how different that is from the ones I get in the doctor office?) at 20 weeks and then doesn't want to see me again till 2-3 after I get that ultrasound. I thought that was weird that she didn't want to see me at all the month of June. But maybe since I'll be seeing another doctor for the other ultrasound she thinks I'll be fine. Hey whatever floats her boat, right ;p

Anyways, as for me I'm still doing well. I've been sick off and on but nothing compared to like it was in the first trimester (thank heavens!) I've been feeling him move so much more and I am loving it. He moves all around. One minute he kicks up at the top of the uterus and then the next he kicks by the pubic bone ;p He sure is an active little guy. We still don't have a name for him yet but have probably narrowed it down to 2 or 3. Allie still doesn't understand that there is a baby in my tummy but she loves kissing my tummy. And I love it! I need to get a picture of it but I'm always too slow. I'll get it one day ;p

So we haven't been up to much this since I last posted.

We are having more play dates for Allie and each one she enjoys it more and more.

I have been wanting to cut my hair for a month now but haven't done it or really haven't found a place to go to. So yesterday I finally cut it. I cut about 2 1/2 inches off. Its not as short as I'd like it to be but it looks okay. I haven't taken any pictures of it yet but we are planning on going to the zoo this weekend so I'm sure you'll see it then and you can tell me what you think.

Last night I ended up spending a total of 4 hours in the ER. We (Allie and I) didn't get out of there till 20 after 10, so she was one tired little girl when we got home. But ... I've been experiencing some cramping ever since Saturday (well it really started Friday night). I didn't really thing much of it Saturday and Sunday but as it continued to get worse my friends told me I needed to go get checked out to make everything was okay. I'm glad I listened to them. I ended up being dehydrated. And I guess when your pregnant and dehydrated your body sends out a thing called Oxytocin but your body thinks it Pitocin :{ so if I hadn't gone in and found out that I was dehydrated I could have actually gone into early labor. But I'm doing better now that I'm drinking WATER instead of Sprite or soda ;p I still have the occasional pain here or there but who doesn't while pregnant.

We know that Todd graduates from AIT July 28, 2010.

Finally ...

In my second trimester ... Well I have been for 2 weeks now but I'm still way excited because of the due date changes it kept pushing me back but here I am!!! Yahoo! Also I'm feeling a bit better. I still am nauseaous and I have thrown up a couple times but not 3-4 times a day. Its more of 1 or 2 times a week. So its getting better!!! I have been having alot of back pain which I didn't experience with Allie till my 3rd trimester. But other than that things are going pretty well. I also felt the baby last week. I'll feel him/her every now and then and each kick gets stronger and stronger. I am loving it!
We are going to find out what the gender of the baby is next week, so I put up a poll on the right for those who want to make a guess. I'd like to thank those who have already made a guess. I'm excited to see which one gets the most votes.

Todd and Allie are still doing well :) Two days ago Todds off post packet got approved so he now is living at home. Yeah! As far as Todds orders are going we are pretty sure they are still for Germany :( If anything changes we will definately let ya know though.

Around Post

Today Allie and I along with my friend, Erica, went looking at some of the tanks, gun things, satellites and helicopters they have around post. I've been wanting to do this for quite a while but its been way too hot to go out and just walk around and today it was in the low 70's so after lunch we headed out for some fun :) They are pretty cool machines. Allie was terrified of them and didn't really like being near them. But she still enjoyed being out of the house in the nice weather. Too bad the whole week wont be like this ;p

I Love Being A Mom!!!

First off I'd like to wish my mom a Happy Mothers Day! This is our first mothers day apart so its pretty hard for me. But I just want to let her know how much I love her and how much I am greatful for everything that she does for me. The move to Georgia was one of the biggest changes in my life and she's been there to help me through it. So thank you mom!!! You are definately the BEST! I love you!!!

And as for my Mothers Day ... It has been such a WONDERFUL day! I got to sleep in, woke up to some breakfast, beautiful flowers/chocolate and a card. And then Allie surprised me with a lovely picture frame (with the help of our neighbors - thanks Ashley and Josh). I love being a mother and couldn't ask for any other job!

I have seen a lot of my army friends take pictures of their shoes with their soldiers army boot. So I decided to do it with our shoes because I like the picture. As I was setting them up and trying to get ones I liked, Allie started playing with my shoes. She absolutely loves walking around in my shoes and its so fun to watch her ;p

Spring Fest Fun

This weekend was the Fort Gordon Spring Festival - a carnival. I drove by it a couple of times and it looked like so much fun. So I decided to take Allie to it today. Yes it was extremely hot but we still had fun. Todd didn't go so we went and tagged along with a friend of mine. I went on the Merry-Go-Round with Allie and boy did I get sick so I had to sit out for the rest of the rides while Allie went with Sarah and her daughter Abbie. I was sad but it was still fun to watch Allie have fun on the ride :) Allie also played a game and won a couple prizes that she loves. I'm glad we went and didn't let the heat get to us. I'm just sad that they didn't have snow cones :( Oh well ;p

Zoe and Allie. This is one of the girls in our unit. And Allie just loves her!! They are so cute when we get them together.

The other day Allie was playing on a toy of hers and she fell off it (she shouldn't have been on it in the first place) and she got this as the end result. It looks so much better now. Its just a tiny bruise above her eye. But boy was mommy scared!!!

Allie loves stuffing things down her shirt now and I'm not sure why? It just started out of the blue a couple weeks ago. Its cute though!
