Cookies for the Princess

Allie's into the whole "princess" theme at the moment and the other day while shopping I saw some princess Valentines cookies. I thought how perfect. Princess cookies for my princess!! She did so good putting the dough on the tray and then when she heard the timer go off she got so excited and couldn't wait to have one.

We moved!!

After being on the housing waiting list we FINALLY got a house on post! And we love it! Its a 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, nice back yard, beautiful kitchen, 2 car garage, and lots of room for play. Here are some pictures I took. Now we are still putting the place together and going through boxes so please don't mind the mess or the boxes. I just keep having people ask me to post pictures so I'm doing it now.

I ♥ Pinterest

I recently signed up for Pinterest. And all I can say is its SO ADDICTING!! There are so many great ideas on there for hair, crafts, dinner, the kids, etc. I love it!! Here are a few things I've done so far:

Grilled Bananasfilled with chocolate chips and marshmallows. They were delicious!

Home made foaming soap. The soap I made is the clear one.

I curled my hair with a sock bun

I would have liked the curls to be tighter but I guess this way was okay. I am going to try it with a smaller sock next time and see if the curls are better so we'll see.

Home made Churros! They were delicious, even my mom liked them.

GOING PRIVATE

I'm not a fan of our blog being set to private but Todd doesn't like our lives being out there where everyone can read about us and the kids and wants the blog to be private now. So per Todd's request I am making the blog private as of February 1st. If you would like an invite just leave a comment and I'll add you :o)

A walking we will go

With Maggie being over weight we were told to take her on walks/runs. So on Sunday we decided we'd go on a family walk around the neighborhood and to let the kids play at the park a few houses away from us. Sunday was SUPER windy and cold (due to the wind) so we weren't out for very long. With us being out in no where land I've noticed its been windy mostly every day and it kinda sucks. But I was able to take a few shots of our walk and of the kids on the swing.

The kids try to catch up to daddy

Allie have a blast on the swing

And Zachary not so much. He is still not a fan of them

From this picture you can tell there is NOTHING out there. I was thinking they should build a Walmart, Target, or something to save us the 15 minute drive into town.

Meet Maggie!

Todd and I knew once we moved onto base we were going to get a dog (and cat). We just weren't sure when?? Well on Saturday the 14th, we took a break from unpacking and went into town and went to look at kitties at PetsMart. Allie was so excited! She loves looking at cats and dogs. Well we were just looking, mainly to see if they had the one Todd saw a month or so ago that he like. They didn't so we were going to go but we decided to go look at the dogs for fun. We saw an adorable 2 year old Border Collie. We would have liked to get her but she was too hyper and Todd was worried she'd go all crazy on the kids. So we were about to leave when my eyes met with Maggie and it was LOVE at first site :O) And well obviously she came home with us that day. It was totally meant to be!!
Maggie is a 4 year old Corgi. She is such a great dog. Loves to go on walks(which is good because she needs to loose some weight), can do tricks: sit, lay, roll over, shake, turn around while on hind legs. She lets us know when she needs to go out (that was a plus with getting an older dog - no potty training). Allie just adores her and calls her "Naggie" and "dog" ;p Zachary still isn't sure about her but is use to the fact that we now have a dog. Maggie sleeps with Todd and I and I personally like that because she keeps my feet warm at night. She is such a friendly dog and loves to cuddle. We are so happy to have her as a part of our family now!!!

Our Maggie!!

Allie loves to give Maggie a treat after she does a trick

She is asleep here and she falls asleep like this all the time. Its quite funny

More Doctors - Yah Us

Last week we took the kids to see their eye doctor. Now I was kinda nervous about this appointment but it went well for both kids :O) Allie was checked out first. She did great except for when the doctor wanted to dilate her eyes she sorta freaked out. The doctor did notice her eyes had a little tendency to want to look away while looking forward, but its nothing too serious. He just wants us to keep an eye on her and have her checked out again in 6 months. As for Zachary, his eyes haven't really changed. The doctor and I talked about what we should do next and he said if he were in our "situation" he'd do the patching for another 3-6 months. So I decided to give patching another try and then in March we'll see if there is any change if not then we'll schedule Zach for surgery. I know I said back in September I'm not too worried about him doing the surgery well I lied. I'm scared of him being knocked out and just the whole surgery itself. He's my baby and its scary!! So I'm praying I do better this time. I have people reminding me to do it so cross your fingers for us!

Allie's cute glasses from the doctor to protect her eyes after being dilated.

And I finally got the results to my EEG that I had at the beginning of December. Now I have been praying and praying for it to come back with good news seeing that I have been seizure FREE for SEVEN years. And to me that's a freaking long time!! So my doctor called me and told me that my EEG still showed seizure activity. I was like "are you sure??" Now I just don't get it? How can there still be seizure activity and I'm not having seizures? But then I remembered my very first neurologist mentioned that my headaches and migraines could be classified as "partial" seizures so in reality even though I'm not having the shaky kind of seizure I'm still having one when I have a headache/migraine. And my doctor reminded me on the phone that's pretty much whats going on, but would go into more detail at my next doctors appointment. UGH!!! I just hate life sometimes!!!
Oh and to add the that frustration I have been having some pain for about a week and decided it was time to go to the doctors. Well they couldn't get me an appointment so I ended up at Urgent Care on Wednesday evening. After a negative UTI test and a pelvic x-ray we found out that my IUD has moved. I also had a ultrasound today but the tech wasn't very helpful. So I now have to get my IUD out and either get a new one in or find another for of birth control. I'm just having a hard time getting into my doctor because she is the only OB in the clinic at the moment and I cant be seen until February 1st and I was told when an IUD moves out of place it can cause problems or I could get pregnant (and we don't want either!!!) so I'm in the process of finding an off post doctor and its hard.
Oh during my ultrasound the tech showed me a huge ovarian cyst on my left ovary. I was like great not only do I have to worry about my IUD now I have to worry about my ovary, ugh!! I've had 2 cysts before so welcome #3.

Goodbye 2011!!

HELLO 2012!!! Hope everyone had a fun and safe New Years!! We didn't do much this year. Just stayed home and stayed up to watch the ball drop and then drank some sparkling cider and then went to bed. I was surprised Allie made it all the way to midnight (just barely that is). After we took the picture of the 3 of us I looked down and she was out ;p silly girl. Maybe next year Zachary will be able to join us.

Christmas Day

Hope everyone had a fun and safe Christmas. Even though we were all sick we still had a good day. The kids got some fun and "educational" toys and Todd and I got some nice stuff as well. Once we finished opening presents we just relaxed and Skyped with family. But other than that it was a great day!!!
