Wow, Holy Hail Batman!!!

Colorado Springs sure has been having some crazy weather this past week. Well this afternoon, just after Allie got home from school, I could hear some thunder in the background so I knew a storm was on the way. Well when it got here it sure hit us hard and with hail!!! The last time I blogged about hail was last July 2011 (don't get me wrong its hailed here and there but this was crazy!!!).

Looks like its snowing, but its hail, trust me!

Here the hail was collecting at the end of the gutter .....

And I went back to look at it 5 minutes later and this is what we saw.

Happy 4th Birthday!!!

Today is Allie's 4th Birthday!!! I can't believe my baby girl is four!!! Time sure has flown by! With A's birthday being on a Monday, she had to go to school. So I thought it would be fun if we took cupcakes to her class and they could all celebrate her birthday during snack time. I wasn't able to stay and watch so I had her teacher take pictures for me. Looks like they all had a great time though and LOVED the cup cakes :D

Then as soon as Allie got home, we Skyped with Nana so she could open Nana's gift. As you can see from the photos Allie was being a little silly! But loved the present from Nana and Papa: A cute little dress, a Princess Song Book, and headphones (Allie likes to watch shows on my phone and the ear buds I have as my headphones don't stay in her ears so when Nana saw these cute headphones she thought Allie would like them. And they work great for her!)

Next we had to wait for daddy to get home so Allie could have her final two presents! These were her two big presents. So after dinner (left over pizza from Saturday - yuck I know LOL) Daddy brought her presents down and Allie had me put them together (well the nursery - and no I didn't take a pic. sorry). But Allie loves her new doll because it walks and talks to her and Allie just loves it!

Onion Boy

Sunday Todd cooked some salmon for dinner and he puts onion on it to give it some flavor, well then he throws the onion away because he doesnt like to eat onion unless its on a hamburger or onion rings. Anyways back to my story...As Todd was cutting the onion to put on the fish, Zachary walks up to Todd and looks at him with the "I hungy" look and Todd just gives Zach a RAW onion and guess what..Zachary just eats it like nothing is wrong with it. I wish I had gotten a picture of him eating it. I swear he ate it like he was eating an apple. And then Zachary ate the onion pieces off the fish once it was done cooking. He had such horrible onion breath, but he seemed to love the onion so maybe I'll start cooking more "onion" type stuff for him.

Party With Friends

Saturday we had Allie's birthday party with some of our close friends and some of Allie's friends. It turned out great and Allie had such a great time!!!

Sunsets

You remember how I posted pictures of clouds a while back...Well I started taking pictures of sunsets as well. They are kinda hard to get with my phone but the ones I got I really like.

1st Dentist Visit

I final set up dental for the kids and I this past month and it went into effect on September 1st! I have yet been to the dentist but I did get the kids in, their first visit was yesterday, September 11th. And they did great! Zachary wasn't too thrilled about it but all they did was brush his teeth with fluoride toothpaste and just looked at his teeth. I held him so I wasn't able to get pictures of Zachary (sad). But Allie got right up in the chair and let them work away!! I was so proud of her. Sadly Allie has many cavities so it looks like she might have to have some surgery to get them taken care of *this is what I get for not taking her in sooner and keeping up on brushing regularly.* We have another appointment next month to talk to a oral surgeon about what we do next. But I'll wait till then to discuss that.
