First Week In Georgia

Well we survived our FIRST week in Georgia and Fort Gordon! We also survived a week without our stuff (furniture). I pretty much know my way around base. I love going to the PX. Its a pretty cool place to go too. I'm not a huge fan of the commissary, but if I have to go I will use the self check out from now on. I've been off base quite a few times to the local Wal-mart, Target and other stores. I plan to go out a couple more times and just drive around to get my feel of Augusta. Thank goodness I have a GPS thing on my phone ;p or I think I'd stick to the base. But anywhoo... I've met one neighbor so far and they are really nice. I also met one of Todds army buddies and his wife and I think she and I will be good friends. We have alot in common. So I think I will be okay here ;p I really do miss Utah. Most of all I miss my family and friends. I hope we have some guest in the future - we have a spare bed so anyone is welcome!!! Well enjoy some fun pictures that I took from my cell phone:

Glad I tood that DVD player with us on the road. It kept her entertained for a while. Good old "Bolt"
What a cheese ball
She did alot of this on the way to Fort Gordon ;p

We went out driving one day in Auguata and Allie fell asleep like this. I cant see how she can do that?
I can't believe it SNOWED in Georgia!!! I thought I got away from it. Guess not. But heres what it looked like after the storm moved on. Not much but still. Stupid snow!!!

And then our back yard... Yes we have a backyard. Yahoo!!!

Four Corners and More

On day 2 (Feb 5th) of our journey to Georgia, we stopped at the Four Corners since it wasn't that far out of our way. It wasn't that big or anything but Allie, grandpa and I can officially say we've been in four states at once ;p and we have proof! After leaving the Four Corners all we did that day and the other 4 days was drive and drive. So I didn't get any other pictures of fun and exciting things. Sad I know! But the night of day 2 we stayed at a hotel with an indoor pool and we took Allie swimming for the first time. I was so excited for her. Well she wasn't! She hated it. I didn't go swimming because I wanted to take pictures (and I wasn't feel well from dinner grr!!) but she did look cute in her new swim suit. When it warms up here in Georgia I'll take her swimming again.

Here Allie and I are at the Four Corners: Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado.

Allie was NOT happy to be in the swimming pool.

She looks super cute in her swim suit!

Utah Arches

After we went to Dead Horse Point we decided we would see Utah's Arches seeing that the Park was only 1/2 an hour or so away from where we were. I was actually excited to go to this park. But once we got done driving though it I was pretty disappointed. We only saw one major arch and that was the Delicate Arch (the one that is on the license plate). To see the others we had to get out and walk the trails and it was too cold and getting late. Oh well. It was still a nice and pretty park.

Dead Horse Point

On our drive to Georgia, my dad, Allie and I decided to do some site seeing along the way. One of the places we stopped was called Dead Horse Point. I really didn't want to go there with it being as cold as it was, but I'm really glad my dad went anyways ;p It was a really cool place and I would like to go back there again but when its alot warmer!!!

Packing Day

February 3rd was the day the movers came and packed up all our stuff. I was so stressed about this day I am so glad its over with!!! I never thought the movers would leave. They were there from around 10:30am till around 7:30pm. I couldn't believe how much stuff we had. I think they filled a truck and a half. Crazy!!! The hardest part of this day was when Allie and I loaded up the car and headed out to my moms car for the night. I never thought an empty house would ever bring me to tears.

Fort Gordon, We Are Here!!!

After 5 days of driving, 2000 plus miles, $250 worth of gas, 4 hotels, many diaper changes we made it to Georgia on Monday afternoon!!! Yahoo!!! We were able to see Todd after he got out of class. That was my favorite part of the trip - seeing my husband. Allie ran right up to her daddy. I'm so happy that she isn't afraid of him. After we said our hello's Todd took us to see our new home. Its a cute little place and I know Allie will love have a back yard to run around. Below are some pictures Todd and I took with our cell phones. If you notice none of the rooms have carpet. So as we walked through the place echoed. So we are going to go buy rugs for the house this weekend since Todd gets a 4 day weekend, which I'm totally excited about!!!

Allie wouldn't leave Todd alone. It was so cute!

T minus 2 Days!!!

Well not much has been going on since I last posted other than ... saying my goodbyes and packing and planning my trip out to Georgia. I can't believe I leave for our new home in TWO DAYS!!! The movers will be here the day after tomorrow and I'm am so not ready! There is still so much to do. The one thing I'm looking forward to getting to Georgia is, well there are two things: 1- we get to see Todd and 2- I wont have to stress over this move anymore. I went to my neurologist last week and I guess with all the stressing that I've been doing its lowered my blood pressure. So hopefully once I get settled in at home (in Georgia) it'll go back to normal! So below is the route we are taking to get to Georgia. Its going to take us around 4 or 5 days to get there. Depends on how many stops we take. I am hoping Allie does okay in the car that long but I guess we will see so wish my dad and I LUCK! ;p As you can see we are going to be going through: Utah (of course but we'll be going to places in Utah we've never been to), New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas,Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama and GEORGIA

Please pardon the mess. Its been this way for a while due to the packing and getting ready to move. And as you can see, Allie is "helping" me pack.

I also have been waiting for Allie to get better. She's been sick for about a week and a half now. Poor girl is still miserable as ever. She still has her "wet" cough and a really runny nose and she isn't her normal self anymore. So I am planning on taking her to the doctor again tomorrow. I just want to make sure nothing is wrong.

And here I am saying goodbye to one of my bestest friends in the world - my sister :( I'm going to miss you Breanna!!!
