Famliy Pictures

Since Todd is home for Christmas we decided we needed to get our family pictures updated. And I wanted to get a few with him in his uniform ;p So I had a friend of mine take them for me and as usual she does such a wonderful job. Thank you so so much Alyse!!! Here are just a few. They are all my favorite but I couldn't post all of them. Our header is also one of the new pictures.

This picture brings tears to my eyes.

Christmas 2009

Christmas Eve:
We first went to my moms house for some dinner and to open presents. Well for a while we just sat around and talked which was nice since it had been awhile since alot of us hadn't seen each other for quite a while. Then it was time to open presents. I was actually excited because I thought Allie would open them for herself this year. Wrong... She made us open them for her which was okay. She still had fun looking at all her new stuff she got. She got new blocks from Nana and she enjoyed playing with them. Well after mom's house we headed over to Todd's aunts house. Our camera's battery died so I wasn't able to get any pictures :( But it was fun going to there. They all enjoyed seeing Todd. We had a nice small meal and just sat and talked with everyone. Then we headed home and let Allie open her one present of the night which was a pair of new pj's. Then it was off to bed before Santa came!

Allie's cute new pj's

Christmas Day:
Like last year we had my family over for Christmas. But before they came over, we had our own little Christmas in the morning. Again I was hoping Allie would open her own presents but she didn't so Todd opened them for her. Santa brought her some really nice stuff. Then grandpa, Bree, Matt and Mandy and Milo came over for lunch and then we opened presents. Then Matt and Todd played some games and then they left and we headed over to my moms sister in laws for a little visit. Then we came home and had a nice evening.
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!!!

Allie's stocking. Mommy forgot to buy her an actual stocking so the couch had to do.

This was the only present she opened by herself.

Merry Christmas everyone!!

Allies 15 Month Check Up

Well Allie had her 15 month check up today. Yes the day after Christmas. How sad is that, she got to have a fun and relaxing day yesterday and then today Todd and I took her to the mean old doctor for shots. Poor girl. Well we actually had to see a new doctor. Since we got new insurance with the Army Allie's doctor didn't qualify under the militarys "doctors" meaning... instead of having us drive all the way up to Hill Airforce Base to see a doctor on base they have assigned some local doctors as military approved doctors. And unfortunately Allies original doctor wasn't on the list of doctors to choose from. So I chose this one since a friend of mine kids go to him also I've heard good things about him. So we saw her new one today and he's pretty nice. Well as for Allie she is still a healthy little girl and I mean little. Since our last doctor visit she really hasn't gained that much weight. She only gained 3 ounces. But here are her stats:

Weight: 19 lbs 10 oz 10%
Height: 30 1/4 50%
Head: 17 1/2 25%

When he checked her mouth he was really surprised to see that she had almost all her teeth in. He said she only needs her fangs and second set of molars then she'll have all her baby teeth in. Allie did have to get 4 shots in her poor little legs. I felt so bad. I don't like it when she gets shots. I'm happy she's healthy. And I can't wait for teething to be done!!!

15 Months!!!!

Our little Allie bean is 15 months!!! I just can't believe how fast these months are going by. Allie has her 15 month check up on Saturday so once we have that I'll update on how she is doing health wise but as for what she'd been up to here it is:

* Loves giving people high fives
* She just started waving to people and will randomly wave to people where ever we are.
* Will share with anyone no matter what it is she has in her hand
* Still doesn't want to learn to talk. I try to get her to say "hi" or "milk" just small works like that. She still can say mama, dada, baby, but those are really the only words she will say.
* Allie now likes to rub your arms/legs like she is rubbing lotion on. She will also rub her hands together if you put lotion/sanitizer on her. My aunt Paula taught her that one.
* She will close doors behind her if she feels the need to.
* Allie loves turning off the lights by flipping the light switch off. It's the cutest thing to see.
* She knows when its bath time and starts trying to take off her clothes as well as her diaper
* When I start getting Allie undressed she always helps me by pulling at her clothes and she also helps me put/take off her coat.
* Allie loves her sweets
* Allie has all her first set of molars in now. Which brings her to a grand total of 11 teeth and should be getting one more up top soon.
* Allie refuses to take her binki but still loves her thumb. I'm glad she doesn't take a binki anymore but I'm worried she's going to be like her mom and suck it till Jr. High, yes I sucked mine that long (pathetic I know)
* Allie likes to throw tantrums over stupid little things. Like: getting out of the tub, not being able to play with the laptop or mommy's cell phone. Just stuff like that.
* While in the car she loves to scream at the top of her lungs. I think its her way of singing but I don't really know? She can really hurt your ear drums. Ask my mom.
She is such a fun little angel. We love Allie to death! We are sad to see her grow up as fast as she is but we love seeing her personality grow. We love you babe!!!

Zoo Lights

Earlier this evening Allie and I were able to go to the Zoo Lights with my mom and sister. It was super cold but it was still fun to look at all the fun and pretty lights. Allie enjoyed them all. We also got to see the tigers out playing. They were so cute. The cubs were chasing each other and they also got their mom in on it and she begun to chase them. As it got closer to the end Allie started to get upset so that was our que to leave. Next time we go to the zoo will be during the summer when its warmer and the animals are out. ;p Thanks for going mom and Bree it was fun!

Allie all bundled up to go into the zoo to see the lights

Doesn't this look like something ... Its a light thing like their lion fountain. Pretty cool!!!

Daddy's Home!!!!!!!!

Finally my husband, Allies daddy, is home!!! He got home yesterday afternoon. It was such an awesome site yesterday at the airport. There were at least 10 other soldiers along with Todd. Allie and I were searching for Todd for quite awhile. As I told her it was like looking for a needle in a haystack ;p But then I saw my brother in laws waving at me and they pointed to Todd and we rushed over to him. His back was to us so I was hoping to surprise him with a hug but he turned before I could but I still was exciting and happy to see him. Allie light right up when she saw her daddy. And every time she sees him she smiles and giggles!

This morning Todd woke up around 5 am and since Allie and I were still asleep he decided to go catch up on his games. Well he was still playing when Allie and I woke up. I let Allie eat her breakfast by her daddy since its been a while since she's seen him. It was so cute. She ate fight by him and watched him play like she did when he was here. She'd watch the TV and then watch her daddy. I'm so glad I had the camera.

A Soldiers Silent Night

Out of all the video's I've posted on our blog, this is the video you have to check out. It is about the military and Christmas. It's a very touching video. Trust me you will be touched by it. And please leave comments on what you thought about it. I'd love to know. It's called : A Soldiers Silent Night. I am so greatful that I will be able to have my husband home for Christmas this year. As for next year we don't know? I also am thankful for our troops and all that they do for us.

Babysitting and Special Guest

This evening Allie and I got the chance to babysit a friend of mines little boy. Now it has been a long time since I've babysat any ones kid other than mine. So I was a bit nervous. But it went well minus the parts when little Aiden cried for his mommy. Aiden and Allie are only about a month apart. But minus the crying the two had fun together!

Aiden

A close up of Allie bean

Now isn't that just the cutest thing?

Allie and Aiden kept turning on and off the TV. That's one thing Allie loves to do and she showed Aiden how to do it. He picked up on it pretty fast!

I felt so bad when he would cry for his mommy. Whenever he started crying/screaming it would set Allie off.

And this is how she reacted to Aidens crying.

After Aiden had left, I was about to put Allie down when there was a knock on the door. Allie looked at me scared as she usually does when the doorbell rings or someone knocks. Well I went to answer it and guess who walks through the door... SANTA CLAUSE. I was hoping Allie would like the visit. Well I was wrong, the minute she saw him she darted for me. Poor girl! She did warm up to him when he walked around with her but when I had Allie say goodbye to Santa she freaked out again. Maybe next year she'll warm up to him a bit better.

Ho Ho Ho!!! Merry Christmas!

Ugg, Snow!!!!!

I was so sad the other day when I woke up to see that it had snowed. I can't stand the snow. I love the look of the first snowfall and all but once it starts melting and turning black it just looks ugly. I was talking to Todd last night about how cold it got here the other night. It got around 3 degrees. That's just way too cold for me. That's one reason why I'm excited to move to Georgia/South Carolina (depends on where our apartment is ;p). After I told Todd about our weather he told me about his. I guess it was raining pretty hard there. It felt like a hurricane or something. The wind was blowing hard and everything. He said after they got done with 20 push ups they, as in the soldiers, we completely soaked head to toe. So I guess when we move we'll be trading snow for rain.

So after that snow storm we had, I went out to help a friend out. Well on my way home I was turning left off of Bangerter onto 35th South. Well as you can see in the picture a car didn't read the sign to stay back and was blocking our way and all of us that were turning left got stuck there for our turn and had to wait the next time the light turned green. Its so annoying. I don't get how people can't read the signs at that intersection??? And when they are turning right half the cars stop when the north/south bound cars on bangerter cars are going. Its like they wait till there is an opening. They don't realize its like the freeway on ramp you just go and merge. Ugg!!! So frustrating!

Well after my venting/complaining, here is a cute picture of Allie after our day out. She was one tired little girl.

Santa Visit

I took Allie to see Santa yesterday. To be honest I really didn't think she would cry but I should have known she would with her guy phobia. She still looked super cute dressed in her Christmas outfit!!!

Toddy update

Todd is doing well. He is in AIT (Advanced Individual Training (specialty Training Post-BCT)). He likes it there a lot more than he did in Basic Training. From what he's been telling me they have a lot more freedom but in a way it's still like BCT. They still have to do PT time and get up at 4 o'clock in the morning. But hey at least they get to hang out at the PX more now and have their phones :) We added another line to our family plan so now he has a cell phone again and doesn't have to use the prepaid phone that one of his buddies gave him. Its so nice because we can text and talk as much as we want and it's just going to cost us our monthly bill. We actually text more than we talk. We do talk daily. I always look forward to our talks. I can't wait for him to come home. He is coming home for his Christmas break on the 17th. So 2 weeks and he'll be home. Yahoo!!! And as for when Allie and I will be moving to Georgia...??? We don't know now? If looks like it might be the middle of January now. I've been looking at apartments for the past month and a half and found one I really like. So hopefully I can get that all set up real soon. The main thing we are looking forward to is Todd coming home and being together as a family again.
